I was hired by independent filmmaker and actress Genevieve Shi to writer this sweet romantic script as a vehicle to showcase her acting talents, and then had the privilege of helping assistant direct the piece as well. "Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a story most people know, but the life of Charles Dodgson, alias Lewis Caroll, and the real Alice Liddell is much less popular. Your Alice combines elements of both real historical events and the fantasy world of Wonderland to create an absolute masterpiece of modern theatre."

Your Alice Goes to BAM

“The physical theater of these scenes is whimsical, imaginative, and visually astounding, especially considering the shoe-string budget the show was conceived on. Alice nearly drowns in a pool of her own tears, a Caucus-Race occurs to much delight, and the Cheshire Cat (Tamara Sevunts) leads a two-person band (herself on piano and Megan Magee on clarinet) that sets the stage positively alight with the music of Stephen Murphy. It's all quite marvelously realized.”

"'Your Alice' shows Wonderland in a different light..." - Thomoas Burns Scully of PopDust

Musically, the show is also a lot of fun. Composer Stephen Murphy has created a score that falls beautifully within the era, with slight modern flair. Think a less aggressive version of The Dresden Dolls and you about hit the mark. Tamara Sevunts and Megan Magee on piano and clarinet, respectively, play his score between their acting scenes in the show.
