Huge thanks to great people at The Comic Strip Live for giving Theatre 68 a house to play in. This was my first on stage performance in three years and I am on Cloud 9! Thanks Mark Ricadonna and Ronnie Marmo for producing this night of laughs.
I had the distinct pleasure of directing “STAY”, a passionate new play by Bruce Sisler, which premiered at the New York Theatre Festival on June 16th.
I was hired by independent filmmaker and actress Genevieve Shi to writer this sweet romantic script as a vehicle to showcase her acting talents, and then had the privilege of helping assistant direct the piece as well. It was a wonderful experience with a great crew, and the film is now preparing to hit the festival circuit.
Had the best time on set for Crimson Shadows! Writers Chloe Carrol and Bears Rebecca Fonte are making an absolute beast of a cinematic experience and I’m “ever so grateful” to have been invited to take part. 🧛🏿♀️
Proud to have been hired as the director for spec pilot ‘Yellow Lines’, by Carly Wilkins - Recent WINNER of Best New Pilot at the Chain Film Festival in Manhattan!
Megan is now working with U-Shin Kim at UGA Talent Agency, represented in Legit, Theatrical, and Commercial.
I took a trip to Atlantic City to play the role of Sue in new pilot UN$UITED directed by Thomas Baldinger. I had the pleasure of meeting actors Dan Lauria, Tony Dennison, and Ronnie Marmo, as well as sharing a scene with poker champ Tom McAvoy, seen above in his signature pink suit and hat!
This past Saturday I spent an amazing day at Viola Media recording the first episode of Mission: Sanctuary, a futuristic narrative podcast starring yours truly and the legendary Austin Pendleton. Such an honor to work with this incredible man and performer.
Shirin Tinati is worth every. damn. penny. I haven’t even seen all of the photos from our incredible shoot yesterday, but she shared with me some sneak peaks and I am over the moon. I first shot with Shirin when I was 19, and I feel honored each time I work with her. I am over the moon. Please let me know which ones are your favorites!!

I am honored to announce I’ve won Best Actress in the November Edition of the Indie Shorts Fest! I am especially proud of this win because Jonesie McGunner, the short I starred in, is the brainchild of myself, John Robert Hoffman, and Sarah Bennett. We are currently developing it into a series, and to see this short so well received makes us very excited for the future of Jonesie.
Eleanor and Alice reveals a relationship crackling with wit and antagonism, in which the personal was always political, and where victory for one might mean failure for the other. "Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a story most people know, but the life of Charles Dodgson, alias Lewis Caroll, and the real Alice Liddell is much less popular. Your Alice combines elements of both real historical events and the fantasy world of Wonderland to create an absolute masterpiece of modern theatre."

“The physical theater of these scenes is whimsical, imaginative, and visually astounding, especially considering the shoe-string budget the show was conceived on. Alice nearly drowns in a pool of her own tears, a Caucus-Race occurs to much delight, and the Cheshire Cat (Tamara Sevunts) leads a two-person band (herself on piano and Megan Magee on clarinet) that sets the stage positively alight with the music of Stephen Murphy. It's all quite marvelously realized.”

“As long as you are always crafting, creating, and communicating, you’ve made it. Everything else is the bonus. The joy has to be in the work.”
Musically, the show is also a lot of fun. Composer Stephen Murphy has created a score that falls beautifully within the era, with slight modern flair. Think a less aggressive version of The Dresden Dolls and you about hit the mark. Tamara Sevunts and Megan Magee on piano and clarinet, respectively, play his score between their acting scenes in the show.

SYNOPSIS: One golden afternoon on 4 July 1862, Charles Ludvig Dodgson (Lewis Carroll) began to tell a story that would be held in the hearts of children and adults alike for the next 150 years. But what about the first ears that heard this story? Your Alice explores the complex and dynamic friendship between Mr. Dodgson and his ‘Dreamchild’ muse Miss Alice Liddell, the inspiration behind Alice in Wonderland. Original score by Stephen Murphy

SYNOPSIS: For people of the starry-eyed variety, some nights are more life changing than others. In times gone by, Athenians have flown to the forest in the name of love, acting troupes have gone to great lengths to be acknowledged and rewarded for their art, and fairies have wreaked all manner of mischief upon the mortal world for the sake of self-aggrandizement. But has anything really changed? Some Night follows an eclectic band of characters as they pursue their dreams of love, power, fame, and fulfillment while struggling to reconcile their own ideas of fantasy and reality. This original comedy pays homage to the happenings of a famous midsummer night while bringing the magic to today’s baffling and yet still enchanting world.
Directed by Eric Ruiter
Starring: James Jelkin, Elizabeth Scopel, Megan Magee, Nick Denning, Ethan Crystal, Ashley Grombol, Landon Sutton, and Zach Rich
